Our favorite café along the Algarve. Even tho, the ambience is not that special the pastries, toasts, bowls and smoothies they serve are made with love and passion! After every surf our highlight to go there!

Lokal Padaria – A Hidden Treasure in Burgau While chatting with someone at Praia de Camilo, I was told the sea in Burgau is incredibly clean, clear, and shallow perfect for kids. That was all I needed to hear. I drove straight to Burgau, and before heading to the beach, I stopped at a local supermarket for a quick lunch break. That’s when I discovered Lokal Padaria, a delightful pastry shop tucked inside and what a find it turned out to be. Run by three amazing women from Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, the shop is full of warmth and flavor. As a pastry lover, I was instantly drawn in by the smell of fresh sourdough and the display of delicious treats. Here’s what we ordered: Focaccia – perfectly baked with a golden crust and soft, savory interior. Sourdough sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, red pepper, and olive oil – fresh, vibrant, and satisfying. Cinnamon roll – absolutely divine. Soft, gooey, and just the right amount of sweetness. Açaí bowl topped with strawberries, banana, and granola – refreshing and energizing, perfect for a beach day. Everything tasted amazing. You can truly feel the passion and care in every bite. Lokal Padaria isn’t just a bakery it’s a flavorful fusion of Latin American charm in the heart of Burgau. If you’re visiting the area, make this your go-to spot before hitting the beach. Great food, lovely people, and a cozy atmosphere!

It was so good we came back the next day! Delicious and fresh cinnamon buns, and good coffee. The freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing too. Nice area to sit outside as well.

Amazing bakery and highly recommend for sourdough and croissants! It is a mini cafè that serve a wide range of menu from coffee, juice, sandwich, cake, and also warm dishes. The service is pretty quick and friendly. You can enjoy the seats outdoor. The coffee is okay the bakery is good. The price is reasonable.
